head colds

For a wedding present I gave Aaron my head cold! YAH!!!! So we've spent the weekend being very lazy and not doing much. We did manage to make it to the mall today to pick up a wedding band for him. And he managed to put up a Christmas tree for me!!! =) I love the holidays...(minus the sick part....)

So, we made it official yesterday. It was a small casual affair, but neither of us really wanted anything super formal. We went down the the Justice of the Peace with Aaron's best friend, Jeff and his wife, Alice, as our witnesses and officially got hitched. Not too much to say expect that we're both super stoked to start our lives together. Here are some pics....

Thanksgiving

We had a cozy little Thanksgiving this year. Aaron "worked from home" all week which was nice. It's awesome that he has the flexibility to do that from time to time. He prepped dinner all week long, and we had an awesome little dinner and just relaxed at home on thanksgiving. We both have a ton to be thankful this year, and look forward to the coming years.

More Concrete Wedding plans

So just a heads up to everyone, I think we have our definite plans set now. They have changed a little again, but I think this is the real deal now. As neither of us care to much about a "traditional" wedding we are just going to go down to the Justice of the Peace sometime this month and get married. The part of the whole traditional wedding plan that we do want is to celebrate with our friends and family though. That being said, we will be hosting a small reception/open house in our backyard in Phoenix on Saturday, February 6, 2010. We would love for as many of our friends and family who are able to make it. We will be sending out more formal invitations soon, but just wanted to give a heads up to those who may be traveling as to when/where it will be.

We can't wait to celebrate with everyone!!!

The Grand Canyon

So Aaron took me on the best date ever this weekend. We went to the Grand Canyon. It was a spur of the moment thing. Saturday around noon he asked if I wanted to get outta town, so we went to the Grand Canyon. It was absolutely AMAZING. We had so much fun, that we changed our honeymoon plans. We are now going to hike down the Grand Canyon to the Colorado river and then hike up both the north and south sides of the canyon for our honeymoon. We decided that hardcore backpacking sounded a lot more fun to us than a cruise at the moment. So we are now going to make our Christmas hiking equipment geared to get ready. Will post more photos this week(we have well over 300 to download). Will take some time to get all of them on the computer, but here's a glimpse....

what' i'm pointing to is that trailhead of the hike we're going to do on our honeymoon...

PS, because of the change of plans for our honeymoon, the wedding will most likely now be on the first Saturday of February. We should have the details worked out in the next week or so...

wedding plans

So just a quick update on the wedding. We are now planning a small wedding in the bay area (probably in February). We hope to have an exact date and more details in the next week. Who knew planning a wedding would be so difficult? Just a heads up to everyone though. We are tentatively thinking maybe the first week of February and it will most likely be on a Wednesday or Thursday evening to give us time to get to Florida for our cruise on the weekend. We hope our friends and family can all make it and celebrate with us. We will keep everyone up to date as we finalize our plans!
